Ned Burke was a three-year starter in footballl (quarterback/linebacker/running back/wide receiver), basketball (guard/forward) an lacrosse (midfielder). He captained both football and lacrosse his senior year and was a DCL All-Star in both sports his junior and senior years. Ned quarterbacked the Warriors to an undefeated season and the Dual County League title in 1988.
He did a postgraduate year at Phillips Andover Academy. He started in football, basketball, and lacrosse, he also captained the football and lacrosse teams. He was named the school’s Most Outstanding Athlete for the 1990-91 academic year.
Ned attended Cornell University where he started for three years on the varsity football team as a running back and four years on the varsity lacrosse team as a midfielder. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in 1996.
He played professional football in Barcelona, Spain, for a short time before a knee injury ended his career. He then spent two years as a history and English teacher and a football and lacrosse assistant coach at Salisbury Prep School in Connecticut.
During the 1998 and 1999 seasons, Ned served as a player personnel scout for the New York Jets before moving to the New England Patriots for two seasons as a running backs coach, including the 2001
He has worked for Delaware Investments in Philadelphia since 2002 as a portfolio analyst and an interest rates trader.
Ned sends a special thanks to his family for their support and encouragement as well as to the coaches,
